  • In May 2023 Kelsall ignored a give-way sign at a Festival Road junction in Rotherham and crashed a rented Vauxhall Corsa into a woman’s vehicle at high speed
  • The victim was trapped by the crushed driver’s side door and suffered fractures to her pelvis, spine and fibula as well as a sternum injury and later described her ongoing pain and loss of independence
  • CCTV footage shows Kelsall and three passengers fleeing the scene without offering help and collecting £20 notes scattered among the debris
  • He was arrested two months after the crash when police found him in possession of 26 wraps of crack cocaine and he pleaded guilty to causing serious injury by dangerous driving and possessing Class A drugs
  • On June 10 at Sheffield Crown Court Judge Jeremy Richardson KC sentenced him to three years in prison and imposed a driving ban of three years with an additional 18-month extension
