Search and Rescue Operations Underway After SEALs Fall into Sea During Nighttime Boarding Mission

Two U.S. Navy SEALs are missing after falling into the sea during a nighttime boarding mission off the coast of Somalia.
The SEALs were conducting operations in the Gulf of Aden when high waves knocked one into the sea, prompting the other to jump in after him, following Navy protocol.
Search and rescue operations are currently ongoing to locate the missing SEALs.
The incident was not related to the ongoing U.S. and international mission to provide protection to commercial vessels in the Red Sea, nor was it related to recent retaliatory strikes conducted by the U.S. and the U.K. in Yemen.
