Overview
- Investigators say a passenger vehicle traveling west crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a Timber Mesa ambulance head-on around 10–10:15 p.m. on Sept. 14.
- The collision occurred near milepost 319 between Heber-Overgaard and Show Low, and all three people involved were pronounced dead at the scene.
- Two victims were on-duty Timber Mesa Fire and Medical District firefighters in the ambulance, and the third was the sole occupant of the other vehicle.
