Overview

• The shooting unfolded around 12:45 a.m. Tuesday when officers approached a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot north of Jones AT&T Stadium.
• A suspect produced a firearm and opened fire before officers returned fire.
• Both officers were transported to a Lubbock hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and are expected to fully recover.
