Two Telugu-State Road Crashes Leave Four Dead, Investigations Underway

Overview
- A tyre burst sent a car off a National Highway near Somavaram in Kakinada district on Nov. 8, killing three roadside vendors and injuring three others, according to police.
- The deceased in the Somavaram crash were identified as Mortha Ananda Rao, Mortha Kondayya, and fruit seller Kakada Raju, who died after treatment at the Prathipadu CHC.
- Two 18-year-old students and a local resident were injured in Somavaram, received initial care at the Prathipadu CHC, and were shifted to Government General Hospital, Kakinada.
- Jaggampeta police registered a case in the Somavaram incident, and MLA Jyothula Venkata Appa Rao announced ₹25,000 ex gratia per deceased, with matching government support.
- On Nov. 9 in Telangana’s Sangareddy district, a MUV hit an RTC bus near Kavalampet Kandi mandal, leaving one person, identified as Balaiah, dead and six injured, with police opening a case and a couple of the injured reported critical at the district hospital.
