Two Teens Killed in Early-Morning I-195 Dartmouth Crash

Investigators are examining a reported stolen KIA linked to 911 reports of erratic driving.

  • Massachusetts State Police said the single-vehicle crash happened shortly before 1:20 a.m. on I-195 west near mile marker 19.8 by Exit 22.
  • Two occupants, a male and a female teenager from Fall River, were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Bristol County District Attorney's office.
  • Troopers responding to reports of an erratic driver found a KIA that had left the roadway and struck the median near the Reed Road area.
  • Both teens were ejected from the vehicle, and investigators later learned the KIA had been reported stolen out of Fall River.
  • All westbound lanes were closed with traffic diverted to Faunce Corner Road, and the highway reopened at approximately 5:20 a.m., police said.
