• Police say a suspected stolen Citroën was flagged in Blacktown about 9:15pm Saturday, triggering a pursuit to James Street in Leichhardt.
• The vehicle struck two civilian cars and three police vehicles, mounted a footpath and drove toward officers, and a 27-year-old officer was treated for a concussion and released from hospital.
• During the confrontation, an officer fired a single shot at the car and another officer deployed a Taser.
• The car was later found abandoned on Crystal Street in Petersham, and detectives canvassed the area for CCTV and dashcam footage.
• By Sunday afternoon, police arrested a 17-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl who were charged and refused bail to face a Children’s Court on Monday, as a neighbouring command began an internal review of the incident.
