• Police say a man in his 30s was stabbed at about 1.50am Wednesday during an altercation between three teenagers and four adults in Whitehouse Park.
• The victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and is now described as in a serious but stable condition.
• Nineteen-year-old Azyruss Vantankeren and a 17-year-old from Colchester were charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and possessing a knife in a public place.
• A third arrested 19-year-old was released on bail until Friday, November 28 pending further enquiries.
• Officers cordoned the park with a blue tent in place, made arrests within an hour, and appealed for witnesses quoting reference 37/49729/25.
