Overview

• The crash occurred just after 9 PM on August 5 inside the one-kilometer Bus del Colvera tunnel near Pordenone when a Renault Twingo carrying Fabio Rosa and Danilo Boz struck a Volkswagen Tiguan head-on.
• Both 19-year-old Maniago Vajont players died at the scene and their co-driver, Andrea Zoccoletto, and the 72-year-old Tiguan driver were rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
