Overview
- A 20-year-old accused of two April–May attacks in Buenos Aires was captured in Choele Choel after a nationwide search led by the Saavedra–Núñez prosecutor's office.
- Investigators say she arranged dates through social media and spiked drinks such as fernet, then stole cash and electronics and executed digital wallet transfers exceeding 5.5 million pesos.
- She denied the allegations in questioning and remains detained in Río Negro under an order from National Criminal Court No. 49 as her case may advance to an oral trial.
- Separately, Ramona Isabel Ramírez, 60, was detained after a November 11 incident in Concordia in which a 70-year-old man who traveled from Bariloche was drugged and robbed of cash, a phone, and his pickup truck.
- Police traced the vehicle via plate readers and seized US$5,200 and two phones in Corrientes, and authorities are assessing whether additional complaints fit the same modus operandi.
