Overview
- A six-seat Beechcraft King Air B90 that departed Miami crashed around 9:35 a.m. in Doraville, about three miles from DeKalb-Peachtree Airport.
- Fire officials said the crew attempted to ground the aircraft after reporting engine trouble a couple of miles from the runway.
- The plane struck pine trees 80 to 90 feet up and dropped into a yard between two houses without hitting any structures.
- Both occupants walked from the wreckage and were hospitalized in stable condition with minor injuries, and no fire was reported.
- Doraville police closed nearby streets to manage a large debris field, and the FAA and NTSB are leading the investigation.
