Two Suicides in Two Days at Mumbai's Atal Setu Bridge

A businessman and a banker died by suicide within 48 hours, highlighting concerns over mental health and work stress.

Mumbai businessman Philip Hitesh Shah, aged 52, jumped off the Atal Setu bridge on October 2, reportedly due to depression.
This incident follows the suicide of 40-year-old banker Sushant Chakravarti, whose body was found on October 1.
Chakravarti's wife reported that he was experiencing significant work-related stress before his death.
Police have registered cases of accidental death for both incidents, with ongoing investigations but no suicide notes found.
