Two Stabbings in Santa Fe and Jujuy Prompt Police and Prosecutor Probes

Both investigations center on evidence collection with suspects still at large.

  • In Santa Fe city’s Los Troncos, police found 32-year-old Juan Real with a stab wound to the back around 2:30 a.m. Sunday and rushed him to Hospital Iturraspe, where he is reported out of danger.
  • He told officers he was attacked from behind by a man he identified as “J.”, and prosecutor Andrés Marchi initiated measures to determine identity and circumstances.
  • Investigators from the PDI’s Criminalistics Unit searched for blood traces and located a nearby security camera on Grierson 8400 to help reconstruct the attack.
  • In San Salvador de Jujuy, a 33-year-old arrived on his own at Hospital Pablo Soria with stab wounds to both lower limbs after resisting an alleged street robbery near Av. Horacio Guzmán and San Lorenzo.
  • Seccional 30° conducted patrols without finding a suspect, and the zonal assistant prosecutor asked the victim to file a formal complaint after discharge to proceed with the case.
