Two Shootings on Chicago's South Side Leave One Dead, Two Injured

A fatal shooting in Englewood and a double shooting in Woodlawn highlight a night of violence with no suspects in custody.

A 36-year-old man was fatally shot during an argument in the Englewood neighborhood around 9:20 p.m.
The victim in Englewood was shot twice in the chest and was pronounced dead at UChicago Medicine.
In Woodlawn, a 27-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man were shot in a residence on South Vernon Avenue.
The woman in Woodlawn was struck in the leg and is in good condition, while the man is in critical condition.
Chicago police are investigating both incidents, but no arrests have been made in connection with either shooting.
