Overview
- On the A39 near Winsen (Luhe), a 28-year-old in an Audi left the roadway around 9:25 a.m., struck guardrails multiple times, and was extricated after about an hour with serious injuries.
- The A39 was fully closed for recovery, causing roughly three kilometres of congestion, and later reopened with residual delays reported.
- Around 5:30 a.m. in Pirna-Copitz, a truck and a VW Passat collided at the S167 junction to the S177 toward the A17, seriously injuring the 43-year-old car driver.
- Responders cut the B-pillar and removed a rear door to free the Pirna driver, and the junction reopened shortly after 9:00 a.m. following multi-hour closure and vehicle recovery by ADAC with a lifting system for the truck.
