Two Separate Milwaukee Shootings Leave Two Dead, With Arrest in Late-Night Attack

Prosecutors are reviewing potential charges after the night arrest.

  • Milwaukee police say a double shooting just before 10 p.m. Tuesday near North 39th Street and West Lancaster Avenue left a 31-year-old dead at the scene and a 26-year-old hospitalized.
  • Officers arrested one person at that scene, and the case has been forwarded for charging review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
  • Hours later, around 9:05 a.m. Wednesday, a 31-year-old was found dead with gunshot wounds in an alley near 41st Street and Hampton Avenue.
  • In the morning homicide, police reported no one in custody as investigators work to determine what led to the shooting.
