Two Separate Homicides in Germany: Partners Under Suspicion

Police investigate two cases where partners are suspected in the deaths of women in different locations.

Authorities in Schackendorf are investigating the death of a 51-year-old woman and the critical injury of a 45-year-old man, with the woman's 52-year-old ex-partner in custody.
The suspect in the Schackendorf case initially fled the scene but later surrendered to the police, and he is expected to face a judge soon.
In a separate incident in Hammelburg, a 76-year-old woman was found dead, and her 81-year-old partner, who is hospitalized with self-inflicted injuries, is under suspicion.
Police have yet to establish a motive in the Hammelburg case, and an autopsy is planned to determine the cause of death.
Both cases are currently under thorough investigation by local police and the homicide commission.
