Overview
- National Savings & Investments announced on Monday that two Premium Bonds holders won the £1 million top prize in the November draw, with winning bond numbers 652GW962089 and 175WW854599.
- One winner is a Shropshire saver holding the £50,000 allowance and the other is an Outer London holder with £30,000, and both prizes were confirmed and published by NS&I.
- The scheme now reaches about 22 million people and holds roughly £137 billion in deposits, with an advertised annual prize-fund rate near 4.35% and odds of about 21,000–22,000 to one per £1 bond.
- NS&I paid out millions in November across prize tiers but reporting notes almost 2.9 million smaller prizes worth more than £128 million remain unclaimed and holders are urged to check via the NS&I website, app or prize checker.
- Launched in 1956 and run by ERNIE, Premium Bonds mark their 70th anniversary this month and continue to create two millionaires most months while offering tax-free prizes instead of interest.
