Two Ryanair Pilots Killed in M62 Motorway Collision

Matt Greenhalgh and Jamie Fernandes were en route to Liverpool John Lennon Airport when their taxi was struck by lorries.

The crash occurred at 5:31 AM between junctions 7 and 8 on the westbound carriageway near St Helens.
The taxi driver sustained serious injuries and is hospitalized.
A 61-year-old lorry driver has been arrested on suspicion of causing death and serious injury by dangerous driving.
Both pilots were highly regarded by their colleagues and communities.
Cheshire Police are seeking information and dash camera footage from the public.
