Overview
- The crash occurred shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday on the 7100 block of FM 36 South in Hunt County, northwest of Quinlan.
- Officials said the northbound truck lost control on a curve, rolled multiple times and came to rest after striking a tree.
- The driver was airlifted to Medical City Plano and the other firefighter was transported by ground to a Greenville hospital, with both injuries described as non-life-threatening.
- Quinlan’s fire chief said the injured firefighters are a husband-and-wife crew who were responding to a call when the truck overturned.
- DPS, Hunt County EMS, South Hunt County Fire & Rescue and the Sheriff’s Office responded, temporarily closing FM 36 South as DPS began an investigation.
