Two Police Officers Shot Responding to 911 Call Near Atlanta

Both officers are expected to fully recover after being injured during an incident involving a 20-year-old suspect in DeKalb County.

The shooting occurred Wednesday morning in a residential subdivision in DeKalb County, just east of Atlanta, Georgia.
Officers were responding to a 911 call reporting a domestic disturbance, with dispatchers hearing arguing in the background.
The 20-year-old suspect allegedly fired multiple shots through a bedroom door, injuring one officer in the upper leg and another in the foot.
Despite being injured, one officer pursued and detained the suspect until additional officers arrived to assist with the arrest.
Both officers are receiving treatment at Grady Memorial Hospital and are expected to make a full recovery, according to local officials.
