Overview
- Police identified the victim as Shashamanie Thompson, 30, who was attacked inside her building at 1182 Ogden Ave. in Highbridge just after 10 p.m. on Dec. 27.
- Officers from the 44th Precinct responded to a 911 call reporting an assault in progress at the location.
- Responding officers found Thompson unconscious with multiple stab wounds to her face and abdomen.
- EMS transported her to Lincoln Hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
- Two persons of interest were taken into custody for questioning, and authorities say any charges will follow the ongoing investigation; the case will update precinct homicide totals last reported through Dec. 21.
