Two Off-Duty Firefighters Die After Falling into Manure Tanker in Upstate New York

The men were attempting to retrieve equipment when they were overcome by toxic fumes at Champion Farm.

Nathan Doody, 33, and Tyler Memory, 29, were identified as the victims.
Both men were volunteer firefighters with extensive service records.
They were working as manure truck drivers at the time of the incident.
Methane and other gases from the manure tanker caused them to pass out.
Emergency responders transported them to a hospital where they were pronounced dead.
