Two NYC Carjackings Involving Children Leave Parents Alarmed

Separate incidents in the Bronx and Queens saw car thieves briefly abduct a 7-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl, both of whom were found unharmed.

A 22-year-old suspect, Sakho Mohamed, was arrested for stealing an Acura SUV in the Bronx on Thanksgiving with a 7-year-old boy inside.
The boy was found unharmed three miles away, and Mohamed faces charges including kidnapping, car theft, and child abandonment.
In Queens, two carjackers stole a running Acura Integra with a 4-year-old girl in the backseat while her mother ran an errand nearby.
The Queens car and child were recovered five blocks away, and the girl was unharmed; the suspects remain at large.
Both incidents highlight the dangers of leaving vehicles running with children inside, sparking concern among local residents.
