• On Friday the Grapevine Fire was estimated at about 24,047 acres and remained 0% contained with active behavior expected on its eastern flank.
• The Kane Springs Fire was estimated at about 17,042 acres and is now 50% contained after crews completed containment line connections and began releasing excess resources.
• Crews are using strategic firing operations, hand crews, dozers, heavy equipment, and aircraft where safe to strengthen lines, mop up hotspots, and protect structures near Barclay.
• A Red Flag Warning through Saturday with sustained winds near 25 mph and gusts to 40 mph plus low humidity could spur sudden fire growth, reduce visibility from ash and dust, and limit aviation support.
• Beaver Dam State Park remains closed for public safety, smoke advisories are in effect for sensitive groups, and logistical challenges from remote terrain are affecting crew support and operations.
