Two Motorcycle Crashes in Staffordshire Hospitalize Three and Trigger Police Appeals

Police are urging anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage to aid ongoing investigations into a late crash in Longton following the earlier collision in Himley.

Overview

  • On August 8 two motorbikes collided on Trentham Road in Longton, seriously injuring a boy and an adult man who were taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital.
  • West Midlands Ambulance Service deployed two ambulances, a critical care paramedic and an emergency doctor to deliver trauma care at the Longton scene before conveying both patients.
  • Staffordshire Police recovered the motorbikes from Trentham Road and opened inquiry incident number 843, asking witnesses to contact 101 or Crimestoppers with any information.
  • On July 30 a grey Kawasaki and a black Honda collided on Stourbridge Road in Himley, leaving a 17-year-old motorcyclist with serious injuries; the Honda driver remained to assist officers.
  • West Mercia Police is investigating the Himley crash under incident number 811 and has appealed for anyone with relevant dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward.
