Two Men Indicted in 30-Minute Chicago Robbery Spree That Included Kidnapping

Investigators tied the case to the pair using victim accounts, surveillance footage and phone data.

Overview

  • Tmajhae Cole, 18, and Marquis Terry, 21, were indicted in connection with four Nov. 19 robberies across Humboldt Park and Little Village.
  • Prosecutors filed dozens of felony counts, including armed robbery, aggravated battery, kidnapping and unlawful restraint, with Cole also facing separate weapons charges from an arrest hours after the spree.
  • One victim was forced into a vehicle at gunpoint and driven to multiple ATMs, where the offenders used his phone and withdrew cash before abandoning him.
  • Terry was arrested Dec. 4 after being identified through victim reports and digital forensics, while Cole was already jailed on a gun case stemming from a semiautomatic Glock seized without required licenses.
  • Authorities say the crew may be linked to additional holdups but charges currently cover four incidents, and the investigation remains active with tips requested at CPDTip.com.
