Two Men in Their 20s Killed in Separate Crashes in Limerick and Tipperary

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage as investigations proceed.

Overview

  • A two-car collision on the N21 at Ballymurragh West, Co Limerick, around 12:50am left the driver of one car dead at the scene.
  • In the Limerick crash, two teenage girls and a man in his late teens were seriously injured, and a man in his 20s sustained non-life-threatening injuries; all four were in the second car.
  • A separate single-vehicle crash on the N24 at Cordangan Cross near Tipperary town around 9:45pm killed a man in his 20s who was traveling alone.
  • Post-mortem examinations are to be conducted, with both roads closed for technical examinations and local diversions in place.
  • Gardaí issued targeted appeals, including for sightings of a 2005 grey Toyota Yaris in the Tipperary area between 9pm and 10pm, and said the deaths bring Ireland’s 2025 road toll to 182.
