Two Men Identified in Fatal Everglades Plane Crash
The victims, both certified pilots, were found in the wreckage of a Florida General Aviation Corp. plane that disappeared shortly after takeoff from North Perry Airport.
- Two men, Khadim Kebe, 37, of Texas, and Mohamed Badenjki, 51, of Miami Beach, were identified as the victims of a small plane crash in the Everglades.
- The plane, a single-engine Cessna 172, was owned by Florida General Aviation Corp. and took off from North Perry Airport.
- The plane went off the radar 13 minutes after takeoff and was found the next day, several miles north of where Interstate 75 turns into Alligator Alley.
- Both victims were certified pilots, but it is unclear who was piloting the aircraft at the time of the crash.
- The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash.
