• Aydin Korkmaz, 27, and Jimmy Coumvoulidis, 34, were remanded in custody after a brief appearance at Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday.
• The victim was identified as 39-year-old Joseph Yousif, who collapsed outside the BP in Dandenong about 4.50am and died despite paramedic treatment for multiple stab wounds.
• Police say Yousif knew the accused and describe the stabbing as a targeted attack linked to a nearby Potter Street unit.
• Detectives believe Yousif fled on foot to the service station while the accused left in the opposite direction down Hemmings Street.
• The men were arrested after raids in Doveton, Blackburn South and Endeavour Hills, and a 33-year-old woman interviewed during the operation was released pending further inquiries.
