Two Men Charged in Brutal Assault of NYPD Lieutenant on Subway

Caught on Camera: Officer Left with Severe Injuries, Suspects Held on $40K Bail

Marquise Webb and Brian Innocent, both 24, were arrested and charged with assaulting a uniformed NYPD lieutenant on a subway in the Bronx.
The officer, Lt. Gypsy Pichardo, was left with a battered face and required eight stitches to his swollen left eye.
The incident was caught on camera, with footage showing the two men punching the officer multiple times in the face and body.
Webb and Innocent were held on $40,000 bail at Rikers Island after their first court appearances.
A knife, box cutter and straight razor were recovered from the scene.
