Two men bailed after fatal Croydon stabbing of 26-year-old woman

Detective Chief Inspector Dave Whellams has appealed for witnesses to reconstruct the assault that left her dead.

Overview

  • Marjama Osman, 26, was pronounced dead just after 9:10am on May 31 after suffering a single stab wound on Frith Road in Old Town Croydon.
  • Police believe she was attacked inside a Frith Road address before collapsing in the street and have launched a murder investigation.
  • A 33-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and a 32-year-old man was detained the next day; both have since been released on bail.
  • Neighbour Isabella Mularz said she heard Osman screaming for help before finding her lying in the street and described her as a “lovely young woman.”
