Two Men Arraigned in Multi-County Work-Truck Theft Case Tied to at Least 17 Break-Ins

A probable cause conference is set for Feb. 9.

  • Andrew Walker, 27, of Detroit, and Deanote Lindsey, 27, of Harper Woods, were charged with armed robbery, conducting a criminal enterprise, and assault with a dangerous weapon.
  • Investigators say at least 17 work vehicles in Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties were targeted in driveways and commercial lots at various times of day.
  • During one incident, a suspect allegedly pointed a handgun at a victim who tried to stop the theft, according to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office.
  • Walker was arraigned Jan. 29 and Lindsey on Feb. 2 at 41B District Court in Clinton Township, with bonds set at $50,000 and $500,000 respectively and GPS tethers required if released.
  • The case stems from a coordinated probe by the Macomb Auto Theft Task Squad, several local police departments, the Macomb FBI Violent Crimes Taskforce, and the Troy Special Investigations Unit.
