Two Long Island Women Charged with Sex Trafficking of Missing 14-Year-Old Girl

Seven suspects now face charges in the case involving the month-long disappearance and exploitation of Emmarae Gervasi, who was rescued earlier this month.

  • Jacquelyn Comiskey, 52, and Elizabeth Hunter, 34, were arrested and charged with sex trafficking and other crimes related to the disappearance of Emmarae Gervasi, a 14-year-old girl from Patchogue, New York.
  • Prosecutors allege that Hunter took explicit photos of the teen to advertise her for sex, while Comiskey is accused of exchanging the girl for drugs with a man who later raped her.
  • The victim was reported missing on December 9, 2024, and was discovered by her father on January 3, 2025, aboard a boat owned by one of the accused suspects, Francis Buckheit, who faces charges of kidnapping and rape.
  • In total, seven individuals have been charged in the case, with accusations ranging from rape and kidnapping to drug-related offenses and child endangerment.
  • The suspects, including Comiskey and Hunter, have pleaded not guilty to all charges, and bail for the two women has been set at $750,000 each.
