Two Long Island Women Charged with Sex Trafficking of Missing 14-Year-Old Girl

Seven suspects now face charges in the case involving the month-long disappearance and exploitation of Emmarae Gervasi, who was rescued earlier this month.

Jacquelyn Comiskey, 52, and Elizabeth Hunter, 34, were arrested and charged with sex trafficking and other crimes related to the disappearance of Emmarae Gervasi, a 14-year-old girl from Patchogue, New York.
Prosecutors allege that Hunter took explicit photos of the teen to advertise her for sex, while Comiskey is accused of exchanging the girl for drugs with a man who later raped her.
The victim was reported missing on December 9, 2024, and was discovered by her father on January 3, 2025, aboard a boat owned by one of the accused suspects, Francis Buckheit, who faces charges of kidnapping and rape.
In total, seven individuals have been charged in the case, with accusations ranging from rape and kidnapping to drug-related offenses and child endangerment.
The suspects, including Comiskey and Hunter, have pleaded not guilty to all charges, and bail for the two women has been set at $750,000 each.
