Overview
- The crash occurred around 5:30 a.m. at Mittapalli in Tallada mandal on the Kallur–Tallada stretch, involving a head-on collision between a car and a lorry.
- The deceased were identified as Chillara Balakrishna and Rayala Anil of Zaffargadh in Jangaon district.
- Those injured were named as K. Ajay, Kollipaka Kranthi and Gattu Rakesh, all from Uppugallu village in Station Ghanpur mandal.
- Police said the group was returning from a pilgrimage to the Jagannath temple in Puri when the collision happened.
- Tallada SI Venkatesh and local police shifted the injured to Government General Hospital in Khammam and moved the bodies to the mortuary for post-mortem.
