Overview

• Gunfire erupted around midnight during a crowded raffle at the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino on tribal land in Eagle Pass.
• The suspect, identified as 34-year-old Keryan Jones of San Antonio, faces two counts of capital murder and five counts of assault with a deadly weapon and has been extradited to Maverick County.
• Investigators say Jones fled in a black Nissan Frontier and was captured in Stockdale after DPS troopers partially disabled his truck, executed a PIT maneuver and used a Taser; a firearm was recovered and no troopers were hurt.
• Officials identified the deceased as retired CBP agent Marcus “Mark” Antley and Alicia Sanchez, and said five additional victims were transported to hospitals in Eagle Pass and San Antonio, with some airlifted.
• Tribal, county, state and federal agencies—including Kickapoo police, the Maverick County Sheriff’s Office, Eagle Pass PD, Texas Rangers, Border Patrol and the FBI—are coordinating the continuing investigation.
