Two Killed in Separate Early-Morning Shootings on Indianapolis’ East and Northeast Sides

Overview

• Officers found a man fatally shot inside a home in the 1000 block of South Gale Street shortly before 4 a.m.
• Responding to 3544 North Oxford Street around 5:30 a.m., police located a gunshot victim who was initially reported awake and breathing but later died.
• Homicide detectives are investigating both cases with assistance from the Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency.
• The Marion County Coroner’s Office will determine manner and cause of death and release the victims’ names after next-of-kin notification.
