Overview

• Keryan Jones, 34, of San Antonio, is in custody in Maverick County on two counts of capital murder and five counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
• Police say he fled in a black Nissan Frontier and was arrested in Stockdale after troopers fired to partially disable the truck, a PIT maneuver halted it, and a Taser was used.
• Authorities identified the deceased as retired U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent Marcus “Mark” Antley and Dimmit County resident Alicia Sanchez.
• Five others were hospitalized, including two taken to University Health in San Antonio, where a 59-year-old woman remains hospitalized and a 22-year-old woman was released.
• A weapon was recovered at the arrest scene, the Kickapoo tribal police are leading a multi-agency investigation, and the casino remains closed during the ongoing probe.
