Overview

• Officers responded within minutes to an active shooter report at the Grand Sierra Resort’s valet area around 7:25 a.m., engaging the suspect in an officer-involved shooting.
• Two people were killed and at least three others were hospitalized with gunshot wounds in the early morning attack.
• The adult male gunman was wounded by police, taken into custody and is receiving treatment at a local hospital.
• Reno police say there is no ongoing threat to the public after securing the scene.
