Two Horses Dead, Driver Critical After Horse Truck Rolls on Hume Highway Near Sutton Forest

Police attribute the rollover to the driver's attempt to avoid a tractor.

Overview

  • A light rigid truck towing a heavy horse float overturned, trapping the 27-year-old driver for about two hours.

  • The 26-year-old tractor driver was uninjured and underwent mandatory testing as police inquiries continue, and several lanes were closed in both directions for a time.
