Two Held in Bandra Terminus ₹10.3 Lakh Extortion as GRP Inspector Is Arrested and Senior Suspended

The case followed a trader’s complaint that men posing as police took his cash during a bag check at the station.

  • The GRP registered an FIR under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections 204 (personating a public servant) and 3(5) (common intention), and investigators said CCTV recordings helped identify the accused as activists pressed for stronger real-time monitoring.
