Two Gang Rape Cases in India Highlight Ongoing Crisis

In Bengaluru, Karnataka, a 33-year-old married woman was gang-raped by four men on the terrace of a private hotel after being invited to dinner by the accused, who had befriended her at a local junction.
Bengaluru police have arrested three of the suspects, who are migrant workers from West Bengal and Uttarakhand, and are searching for the fourth; the victim's condition is reportedly stable.
Both cases have been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, with investigations ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspects and gather further evidence.
