Two Fires in Mumbai: Marine Lines Flat and Hotel Near Airport Affected

Separate fires broke out in a residential building in Marine Lines and on the terrace of a hotel near Mumbai's airport; no injuries were reported in either incident.

A fire erupted in a fifth-floor flat of Marine Chambers, a five-story residential building in Marine Lines, at approximately 12:30 PM on Saturday.
The blaze, confined to electrical wiring, wooden furniture, and household items, was brought under control by fire officials within two hours.
Four individuals, including a senior citizen, were rescued from the affected floor, while residents on lower floors evacuated safely; no injuries were reported.
Later in the day, a separate fire broke out on the terrace of Hotel Fairmont near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, affecting the AC unit and exhaust ducting.
Both incidents were managed promptly by fire officials, with no casualties reported; investigations are underway to determine the causes of the fires.
