Overview
- A fire ignited around 12:32 PM in a near-ruin occupied house adjacent to the 16th-century Iglesia de Santa Ana and partially damaged its sacristy
- A separate blaze in a Plaza Bib-Rambla restaurant kitchen was traced to grease buildup in an exhaust hood and led to a precautionary evacuation
- Bomberos de Granada joined Policía Nacional and Policía Local in cordoning off nearby streets and deploying units to contain both incidents
- No injuries were reported in either fire and valuable artworks inside the Iglesia de Santa Ana were successfully rescued
- Both blazes were fully extinguished by the evening of June 2 and local authorities have launched investigations into their causes
