Two Fatal Shootings Occur on Chicago's South Side

A 30-year-old man was found dead in a Washington Park dumpster, while a 59-year-old man was killed in Englewood, with no arrests made in either case.

Chicago police are investigating the shooting death of a 30-year-old man found in a Washington Park dumpster on Monday night.
The victim was discovered with gunshot wounds to the head and chest in a second-floor apartment on the 6100 block of South King Drive.
An acquaintance found the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene, but no suspects have been apprehended.
In a separate incident, a 59-year-old man was fatally shot in Englewood while standing near an alley on the 6400 block of South Parnell Avenue.
Both shootings remain under investigation by Area 1 detectives, with no arrests reported in either case.
