Two Fatal Shootings in Chicago Leave Three Dead, Two Critically Injured

Separate incidents in South Chicago and West Garfield Park neighborhoods resulted in multiple casualties over the weekend.

Two men were shot, one fatally, in the South Chicago neighborhood early Saturday; both victims were 42 years old.
No arrests have been made in connection with the South Chicago shooting, which occurred just before 2 a.m. on East 83rd Street.
In West Garfield Park, a 20-year-old woman was killed and a 19-year-old man critically injured in a Friday afternoon shooting.
The West Garfield Park shooting involved gunmen from two vehicles, a white SUV and a sedan, who opened fire in an alley.
Police are still investigating both incidents and no suspects have been apprehended in either case.
