Two Drivers Killed in Separate Single-Vehicle Crashes in Hesse and on the A59

Police are investigating both collisions, considering a medical emergency in the motorhome case.

  • Around 19:15, a 67-year-old motorhome driver left Heusenstammer Weg between Rodgau and Dietzenbach, struck a tree in an adjacent wood, and later died in hospital.

  • In a separate incident on the A59 near Langenfeld-Reusrath, a 40-year-old Ford Fiesta driver left the roadway under the Rheinstraße overpass, hit a tree, and died at the scene as the car caught fire.
  • An accident investigation team processed the A59 crash, and the northbound lanes toward Dinslaken were closed for rescue and recovery until about 17:15.
