Two Drivers Killed in Meath Bus, Lorry and Car Crash Named as Investigation Continues

Investigators are seeking dash-cam footage from 5:45 to 6:45am to piece together the pre-dawn collision.

  • The victims were named locally as Bus Éireann driver Paul Conway, in his 50s from Tallanstown, and lorry driver Wesley O'Reilly, in his 40s from Skerries.
  • The collision happened around 6:30am Monday on the R132 at Gormanston and involved a Bus Éireann 101 coach, a lorry and a car.
  • The car's driver, a woman in her 40s, and a teenage passenger sustained serious injuries and are being treated in Dublin hospitals, where they are understood to be in critical condition.
  • At least ten other people, including bus passengers, were taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
  • The R132 remains closed for a Garda forensic examination, and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage from the 5:45–6:45am timeframe.
