Overview

• The investigation began when a pediatrician reported that her professional seal was used without consent on fake pregnancy certificates offered online.
• An undercover purchase led officers to detain 33-year-old Valeria Arce as she delivered falsified medical documents.
• A raid at a Guernica residence yielded 35 medical stamps, prescription pads, two computers, a printer, medicines, mobile phones, card readers and a guillotine.
• Primary suspects Goro Maidana and Valeria Arce have been charged with usurpation of title and falsification of public documents at UFI N°1 Descentralizada de Presidente Perón.
• Other individuals detained during the sweep were released pending further inquiry while all seized materials remain held as evidence.
