Troopers are examining speed and rural road hazards and say drugs or alcohol are not suspected.

  • Two teen passengers were killed, one girl remains in critical condition, and a fourth is expected to recover, and all four are Deer Creek High School students, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
  • OHP told People the deceased passengers were 14 and 16, the driver is 17, and another 16-year-old passenger was injured.
  • Authorities have not released names because the victims are juveniles, but a family member identified one of those who died as Jazlynn Jacobs and local outlets named the critically injured student as London Mitchell.
  • Deer Creek schools brought in counselors for students and staff and observed a moment of silence before Tuesday night’s home basketball games.
